Will an AI assistant give my clients medical advice?
No. No clinical advice, no diagnosis and no medication answers — it answers only from your own pages, and the limit is enforced in our code on every answer rather than asked for in a prompt.
The short answer
No. Three separate things stop it, and none of them is a polite instruction in a prompt.
First, it can only answer from YOUR pages. If the answer is not on your website or in a document you gave us, it says so and passes the question to your team. It has no general veterinary knowledge to fall back on, which is the whole design.
Second, every answer is screened before the visitor sees it. A reply that contains a dose, a drug name, a diagnosis, or a suggestion that an animal need not be seen is replaced by a handoff. That screen runs on the output of the model, so it does not matter what the model decided to say.
Third, anything that looks urgent gets your emergency number first, before the assistant answers anything at all. That one is in code before any model is called, and we will not switch a clinic on until you have given us the number.
What it says instead
Asked "how much metacam for a 20kg dog", it does not answer. It says it cannot give clinical advice or answer medication questions, that the vets will go through it with you, and it passes the question to your team with the whole conversation attached.
You see the refusal in your dashboard, including the answer it was going to give. That is deliberate: a guardrail you cannot inspect is a guardrail you have to take on trust.
What about a price list you upload?
Upload a staff dosing chart and we will keep it, show it to you, and refuse to answer anyone from it. You have done nothing wrong by having it; the assistant answering a pet owner from it would be, and you would carry that rather than us.
One line in a document does not condemn the rest of it. The prices in the same file still get used.
Try it rather than take our word for it
Paste your own web address. You get a working assistant trained on your own pages in about two minutes, free, and you can ask it the awkward questions yourself.
We read the public pages of the address you give us, we obey your robots.txt, and we email you the link. Three a day per visitor. No card, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
